COMED presented a technical talk at the “Hospital Leadership and Digital Transformation” conference in Düsseldorf.
On the first day of the conference, our Head of Compliance & Management Systems, Arne Schmeink, spoke about the use of artificial intelligence in ERP, materials management, laboratory order entry, and e-procurement solutions. The focus was on practical use cases that enable healthcare and laboratory organizations to automate their processes, tap into efficiency potential, and specifically reduce the workload on employees.
The presentation generated significant interest and led to numerous technical discussions with decision-makers from the healthcare sector. In particular, the AI-powered automation solutions presented were discussed in depth and evaluated in terms of their economic benefits.
One visitor aptly summed up the benefits of one of the use cases presented:
“The AI process for incoming invoice processing pays for itself within eight months simply through the additional cash discounts it enables.”
The positive feedback and constructive dialogue impressively confirmed that artificial intelligence in healthcare has long since become more than just a topic for the future. It is already creating measurable added value today and opening up new possibilities for more efficient and cost-effective processes.
We would like to thank all participants for the interesting discussions and valuable exchange.
